DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD TO REDUCE DIESEL ENGINE EXHAUST Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F02D41/40

Abstract RU 2370657 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: method of reducing diesel engine exhaust comprises monitoring at least one engine operating parametre, determining engine operating condition and controlling fuel injection point with a certain injection lag relative to that in normal, i.e. stable operating conditions. Fuel injection point is adjusted after TDC. Device to this end comprises diesel engine monitoring device intended to monitor at least one operating parametre that defines operating condition of the engine, electronic fuel injection system coupled with aforesaid monitoring device and engine. Aforesaid system can selectively initiate fuel injection at preset point relative TDC and incorporates fuel injection controller to allow fuel injection lag. Carrier of data coded by read out computer program code comprises instructions to allow the computer to monitor at least one operating parametre, determine operating state of the engine and provide for fuel injection lag with engine in varying operating conditions. Note here that fuel injection into each cylinder is delayed at the point after TDC.

EFFECT: CAD-based fuel injection system.
