FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: hydrostatic bearing comprises housing embracing shaft journal with circular inner chamber open on the shaft side and floating bushing arranged in the said chamber. Bevelled faces of aforesaid sleeve form skit-type throttles with the chamber tapered walls. Bearing lubricant layer of hydrostatic bearing is formed by aforesaid throttles and inner cylindrical surfaces of flowing sleeve and housing. Aforesaid bevelled faces of the sleeve or tapered walls of the chamber have circular ledges to make stepped slit-like throttles together with tapered walls of circular inner chamber or bevelled faces or floating sleeve. Constant-pressure chamber is arranged between the floating sleeve outer surface and surfaces of circular inner chamber surfaces.
EFFECT: simpler design, smaller power losses.
