FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiosurgery. In order to diagnose viable myocardium, in cardiosurgical patients, rate of scintillation count is determined by means of gamma-probe during operative intervention. As marker for determining border of viable and non-viable tissue radiopharmacological preparation fatty acid, radiolabelled with isotope 123I, is used. If rate of scintillation count above the area of viable tissue exceeds scintillation count above the regions of scar tissue on 40% and more viable myocardium is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method increases accuracy of viable myocardium diagnostics, allows to perform coronary artery bypass grafting in the most efficient way.
