FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used in ophtalmological practice for prediction of pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PES) development, rate of its progressing and determining indications for carrying out preventive treatment. Adaptation potential of eye tissues is determined, and if its value is less than 1.0 fast progressing of pseudoexfoliation syndrome during one year is predicted, if value is from 1.0 to 1.5 slow-progressing pseudoexfoliation syndrome during period from a year and a half to two years; if values are 1.5 and higher absence of risk of pseudoexfoliation syndrome development is predicted.
EFFECT: method allows to increase accuracy of prediction.
