FIELD: physics, control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation of production processes and serves to indentify (recognise) metal and non-metal products and to control their position as well as that of actuators with no direct contact with them. Proposed transducer comprises sensitive element made by inductive sensitive element representing inductor coil arranged in circular gap of ferrite core central bore, inside said bore and aligned with it. Non-metal product being displaced relative to transducer sensitive element, it crosses electromagnetic field of inductive sensitive element and interacts with electric field of capacitive sensitive element. Here, logical "1" level signal containing data on non-metal product identification is processed at the first output of said transducer, while logical "0" voltage exists at the second output. In case metal product is displaced, logical "1" level signal containing data on metal product identification is processed only at the second output of the transducer. Note here that logical "0" voltage exists at the first output. In case proposed transducer is built in flush with metal products, it gets transformed into position control transducer with its second output making metal and non-metal product position data output. Invention rules out false operations of the transducer in case foreign metal items get into electromagnetic field of its sensitive element.
EFFECT: simplified design and expanded operating performances.
