FIELD: air transport.
SUBSTANCE: propulsion unit contains two opposed cylinders which pistons are interconnected by rigid rod with transverse axis. Two couples of collars located at the ends of oscillating rods at the axis through the middle of the rigid rod. At opposite ends of oscillating rods flapping wings are fixed. The middle of each oscillating rod comes though the collar. The collar is fixed at aircraft frame so that it can rotate with flapping wings at transverse axis.
EFFECT: reduction of weight and efficiency increase of force transfer from the engine towards wings.
