FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: installation for inspection of cargo comprises mechanical transportation device for holding and displacement of inspected object, which generates a track of inspected object motion in installation, generator of radiation for production of radiation beam, which is used to X-ray inspected object, unit of information collection to produce data on radiation that has passed through inspected object, and processing of produced data, besides, track of inspected object motion comprises at least two rectilinear sections, which are at the angle to each other, unit of information collection comprises at least two matrices of detectors for measurement of radiation beams, besides each matrix of detectors corresponds to one rectilinear section, and plane for reception of each of detector matrices is parallel to its according rectilinear section, moreover, when installation is in operation, generator of radiation and unit of information collection remain stable, and inspected weight moves along track of motion and at the same time it executes reciprocal motion in two specified sections without any rotation.

EFFECT: invention provides for the possibility of fast inspection of cargo, production of their three-dimensional image without application of round or helical scanning, and accordingly, simplification of mechanical design of installation.
