FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: radiation source and/or inspected object is rotated about an axis of rotation for relative angle indexing. As a result, the radiation source is placed in discrete positions at different angles relative the inspected object, where for each angle, the radiation source accomplishes rectilinear motion parallel the axis of rotation and simultaneously scans the inspected object to obtain projection data during exposure of the object for each such angle.
EFFECT: possibility of fast inspection of a large number of goods with high quality of imaging items inside the inspected object.
