FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coating composition deposited directly onto a metal surface, e.g. as a first coat, where the said composition contains polimerisable polyalkylene oxide(meth)acrylate-phosphate ester with high monoester content, where the said phosphate ester has mass ratio (monophosphate ester):(diphosphate ester) greater than 80:20; a film-forming polymer; and a cross-linking agent having functional groups selected from a group consisting of isocyanate groups, epoxy groups, acid groups and amino groups, where the said polymerisable polyalkylene oxide(meth)acrylate-phosphate ester is a polymerisable adhesion promoter (or salt thereof), having the formula: R1-C(O)-R2-OPO3H2, where R1 is an optionally substituted vinyl radical selected from a group consisting of CH2=CH-, CH2=C(CH3)- or cis-CH(COOH)=CH-; and R2 is a divalent polyoxyalkylene radical having approximately 2-50 oxyalkylene links, and n ranges from approximately 2 to approximately 50. The invention also relates to a method of preparing the coating composition, involving synthesis of a polymer with the above mentioned polymerisable adhesion promoter to form a polymer containing a polymerisable adhesion promoter; addition of a cross-linking agent to the said polymer which contains the polymerisable adhesion promoter; hardening of the said cross-linking agent and he said polymer which contains the polymerisable adhesion promoter to obtain a cross-linked coating composition.
EFFECT: obtaining coatings with improved adhesion to metal surfaces, corrosion resistance, longevity in atmospheric conditions, water-resistance an moisture resistance.
