FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: medium for magnetic recording contains a ferromagnetic film placed on a substrate with a profiled surface which forms a periodic two-dimensional nanostructure from single nanosized elements. The ferromagnetic film covers the nanostructure from single nanosized elements with a continuous layer on their bases, lateral slopes and the bottom of the profile and has a stripe domain structure. Parametres of the stripe domain structure of the ferromagnetic film and the nanostructure satisfy the condition: T1=(0.95-1.05)T2, where T1 is the period of the stripe domain structure of the ferromagnetic film, T2 is the period of the nanostructure.

EFFECT: increased remnant magnetisation and coercitivity of the ferromagnetic film.
