FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to oncology. Determined are: age (X1), tumour volume (X2), histological structure of tumour (X3), patient's state in accordance with Karnofsky index (X4). By obtained indices discriminant functions (LDF1) and (LDF2) are calculated by formulae: LDF1=-56.90+X1×0.48+X2×0.07+X3×1.36+X4×1.02; LDF2=-57.21+X1×0.51+X2×0.08+X3×1.65+X4×0.97. If LDF1 values are higher than LDF2, predicted patient's life duration is more than 3 years, if LDF1 is lower than LDF2, less than 3 years.
EFFECT: method extends arsenal of means for prediction of life duration of patients with brain tumours.
