FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for production of propping agent out of alumina containing raw material consists in preparing source crumbled components of charge; in its granulation and in baking at temperature sufficient for complete caking. Charge is prepared with additional introduction of cryolite of fraction not more, than 40 mcm at amount of 1.5-10 wt % of said raw material. Also temperature of granule caking with contents of Al₂O₃ to 25 wt % is 1070-1120°C, while with contents of Al₂O₃ above 25 wt % it is 1200-1500°C.

EFFECT: increased durability and acid resistance of propping agent.
