FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of vehicles against carjacking and control over vehicle use. Control device (CD) comprising satellite navigation receiver, wireless reception and transmission unit, data display and CHIP-car slots, is mounted on the vehicle. Data on vehicle and its owner (private company or owner) contained in insurance policy for this vehicle are written into said CD. If said vehicle is owned by individual owner then data on other drivers specified in insurance policy are also entered in CD. CD is used to compare data on driver written in its individual CHIP-card fitted in CD slot with data entered from insurance policy. In case said data coincide, engine start enabling signal is generated, and, on the contrary, aforesaid wireless reception and transmission unit is used to notify vehicle owner or control body on unauthorised access. If vehicle is owned by company, then the latter enters data on authorised drivers into company's CHIP-card. Now, CD is used to compare company's data with those entered from insurance policy. If they coincide, data written in driver CHIP-card are compared with those entered in CD from the owner (company) CHIP-card. Given compared data coincide, engine start enabling signal is generated. If not, data display shows said mismatch.

EFFECT: higher degree of vehicle protection against unauthorised use.
