FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to furnace and to procedure for processing wastes, particularly for valorisation of such wastes, as steel melting dust, aluminium slag and chips, electron scrap, and also wastes containing valuable metals or for neutralisation of hazardous materials, such as asbestos fibre. The invention facilitates complete processing of wastes containing different fractions without preliminary sizing. Wastes containing metal fractions are charged into a loading zone and are transported with melted metal till they are intercepted with a retaining facility. Wastes processing commences in the loading zone and ends at wastes interception with the retaining facility, which decreases time of processing. This processing is facilitated with continuous effect of melted metal located under wastes, i.e. soluble metal fraction is integrated into a layer of melted metal, meanwhile an evaporating fraction is transferred to the stage of treatment and separation consisting in fumes filtering and in extracting part of metal present in this fraction and also in decomposition of potentially hazardous materials present in this fraction. The fraction, non-evaporable and insoluble at existent temperature of the melted metal layer, moves along surface layer of melted metal in form of slag.
EFFECT: raised efficiency of processing.
