FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiosurgery, and can be used in on-pump cardiac surgeries. They are ensured by activation of ischemic preconditioning as follows. 20-30 minutes prior to the beginning of complete by-pass, two cycles are performed: the 5-minute hypoxemia by artificial pulmonary ventilation with the mixed gas with oxygen concentration decreased to 10-12 % that is followed with the 5-minute reoxygenation. Thereafter, a heart-lung apparatus is connected.
EFFECT: method allows providing adequate vital protection without injuring the atherosclerotic aorta.
