METHOD FOR MULTI-ORGAN PRE-RECONDITIONING IN CARDIOSURGICAL INTERVENTIONS WITH CARDIOPULMONARY BYPASS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61M1/10 A61M16/00

Abstract RU 2728096 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiovascular surgery and anaesthesiology. Delivery of NO is started immediately after intubation of the patient through the contour of the artificial pulmonary ventilation apparatus (APV) with subsequent supply of NO to the line for delivery of gas-air mixture of the cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) apparatus throughout the period of the cardiopulmonary bypass. Delivery of NO is carried out during the postoperative period through the APV to extubation of the patients, but not more than 24 hours.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the number of organ complications and postoperative complications in the patients operated under conditions of cardiopulmonary bypass, providing therapeutic concentrations of NO and its metabolites in organs and tissues before initiating ischemic-reperfusion injury, which enables to maximize NO-preconditioning and neutralize multi-organ damage in cardiosurgical patients.
