METHOD OF ARTIFICIAL BLOOD CIRCULATION DURING CARDIAC SURGERY PROVISION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61M1/10

Abstract RU 2611938 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiovascular surgery. Nitric oxide - NO is additionally administered to the gas-air mixture supply line of the heart-lung machine. At that, NO is supplied by 40 ppm dose during the first parallel circulation immediately after the calculated volumetric rate of perfusion and perfusion balance are obtained. The NO delivery protocol is kept for the entire period of cardiopulmonary bypass. NO supply to the extracorporeal circulation circuit is stopped in the second period of parallel circulation after removal of the clamp from the aorta and effective cardiac activity restoration. At that, the time interval from NO supply termination to patient transfer to natural blood circulation must be at least 5 minutes.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the number of postoperative complications for patients undergoing surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass, and improve the results of cardiac surgery, as well as to eliminate the negative effects of cardiopulmonary bypass while maintaining hemodynamic stability of patients in the early postperfusion period.
