FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to hepatology and X-ray diagnostics, and aims at the estimation of metastatic liver cancer treatment rates. Before and after local or chemotherapeutic treatment of metastatic liver cancer, ultrasonic elastometry by measuring the elasticity of a perifocal liver pulp region and the centre of metastatic focus. Then the findings are analysed to draw a diagnostic conclusion about the character of a hepatic pathology. If observing an effect of low elasticity in the metastatic centre combined with high elasticity in the perifocal region, treatment of metastatic liver cancer is considered to be effective.
EFFECT: method is noninvasive, allows improving accuracy of the estimation of metastatic liver cancer treatment rates.
