FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to railroad automation and is designed for depot equipped with gravity humps. The system consists of radar measurer and of unit for signal processing and control. Also the system includes a central computer complex consisting of an Ethernet switchboard with two computers connected to it. Further, the system consists of synchronisers each including a generator of synchronous pulses, of the Ethernet switchboard and of an industrial controller connected to the generator of synchronous pulses and to an input of the Ethernet switchboard. The system includes remote modules each comprising the radar measurer coupled with the industrial computer via the unit of signal processing and control. Receiving and transmitting aerials are connected to the radar measurer. The industrial computer of each remote module is coupled with the generator of synchronous pulses and the Ethernet switchboard of the synchroniser coupled with the Ethernet switchboard of the central computer complex via a communication line.
EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of radar control over moving units (cars) along whole area of car yard from moment of moving in to moment of pulling formed train out car yard; on-line determination of position of all rolling stock transport units.
