FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses synthetic nanocrystalline calcium phosphate, specifically hydroxyapatite with specific surface area between 150 m2/g and 300 m2/g in form of a coating on a surface, where thickness of the coating is 150 nm or less. Described also is a method of preparing powder or coating from nanocrystalline calcium phosphate. The method involves creation of a liquid crystal phase in an aqueous solution of calcium, phosphorus and a surfactant, putting this phase into an atmosphere of ammonium in order to form nanocrystals, and then either removal of the surfactant using a solvent and extraction of nanocrystals in order to obtain powder, or dilution of the ammonium-treated liquid crystal phase with a hydrophobic organic solvent in order to create a micro-emulsion of nanocrystals in water, immersion of an object coated with an oxide layer into this microemulsion, or alternatively, skipping the step for treating the liquid crystal phase with ammonia so at carry it out after immersing the object into the micro-emulsion, with subsequent removal of the organic solvent and surfactant from the surface to obtain a coating.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain a coating of nanocrystalline calcium phosphate on metal and non-metal substrates which can be applied independent of the shape of the substrate and which follows uneveness of the surface.
