FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device contains the charging and main contactors, charging resistors, the auxiliary and the main three-phase rectifiers. The transducer power part includes a rising pulse voltage regulator, a resonance transducer with a transformer, an output rectifier loaded on a capacitor, a discharge device and an output diode. The transducer provides for load power supply and accumulator battery charging with account for its temperature requirements. The control device contains a digital signal processor providing for the transducer actuation algorithm, its normal operation and switch-off algorithm. The said algorithms improve power tongs operational reliability and ensure prompt discharge of high-value capacitors for safe operation of the service personnel.

EFFECT: transducer control structure simplification, reduced number of sensors, impossibility of work in heavy modes under overload and short-circuit conditions, improved reliability during actuation and enhanced level of safety of the operating transducer during switch-off.
