FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tobacco industry and may be used for tobacco products production. The smokeless tobacco (snus) product production method includes careful selection of tobacco raw material of Virginia type wherein one determines nicotine content by express method immediately after selection. Then the raw material is milled. The milled raw material is fractionated by way of screen sizing, one selecting the tobacco raw material fraction strained through a sieve with 1×1 mm size holes. Then culinary salt water solution is prepared, the ratio of salt - water being (1:10)-(1:16); one pours the solution on the selected fraction and performs careful mixing. The prepared homogeneous mass is maintained at room temperature during no more than 30 minutes. Then one measures pH level in the prepared homogeneous mixture and adds an acidity regulator to it in a quantity sufficient for the extract pH to be 7.8 - 8.2. Then one performs pasteurisation, cools the prepared mixture up to a room temperature and adds a food flavouring solution to it. One prepares the food flavouring in a solution of spirit: water: propylene glycol in a ratio of (1:3:3:1). One performs conditioning during one day. Then one determines nicotine content in the finished product and packs the latter.
EFFECT: produced smokeless tobacco product satisfies human physiological need for nicotine, reduces the risk of damage to the consumer's health by way of regulation of nicotine content in the smokeless tobacco product.
