SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for choosing a postoperative modality for medullary carcinoma of thyroid. The method involves the evaluation of pre- and postoperative blood calcitonin (Ct) level, as well as immunohistochemical assay of a remote material. The octreotide depot treatment regimen is prescribed depending on the Ct level and proliferative activity of cells.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows to choose a modality according to individual characteristics of the tumour process that improves a functional treatment outcome.
