FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: radiation converters are placed at intersection points of a two- or three-dimensional net. The radiation converters are connected to neighbouring linear light-reemitting elements mounted on said converters with optical contact.
EFFECT: design of universal detectors with radiation converters of any type with effective area or volume defined only by light attenuation in the light-reemitting elements, fewer photodetectors compared to the number of radiation converters, reading the scintillation signal from converters surrounded on all sides by other converters.
