FIELD: sealing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing equipment and can be used in machine building for sealing of rotating shafts. Magneto-fluid seal of shaft with reduced friction moment, comprising magnetic system consisting of permanent magnet enveloping shafts and pole attachments equipped with magnetic flux concentrators on shaft surfaces facing the shaft, wherein surfaces of concentrators in contact with magnetic fluid are subjected to surface plastic deformation, additionally comprises replaceable bushing installed on shaft, one end of which interacts with inner end of shaft flange, and second is with fixing nut end, forming with pole attachments gap filled with magnetic liquid, contacting with magnetic liquid replaceable bushing surface is subjected to heat treatment, and then to mechanical treatment and surface plastic deformation, wherein surfaces of concentrators in contact with magnetic fluid are subjected to heat treatment before surface plastic deformation treatment.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing overhaul life of devices containing magnetic fluid shaft seals with reduced friction torque.
