FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic liquid seal of the shaft with a reduced friction torque contains the magnetic system comprising the constant magnet and polar attachments, lapping the shaft and forming with the shaft a clearance filled with a magnetic fluid. The surfaces, forming a clearance, of polar attachments and/or of the shaft have the magnetic flux concentrators made as teeth or protuberances with rounded crimps. The surfaces of polar attachments, concentrators and shaft contacting with the magnetic fluid, are subjected to plastic surface deformation by hard-alloy, ceramic or diamond smoother.
EFFECT: decrease of friction torque, instant of move, heating, and increase of operation resource of magnetic liquid seal.
