FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gate valve consists of cylinder case and of flexible jacket secured in it. The jacket is designed for connection with a system for supply of excessive pressure. In an idle state the jacket has a shape of a flat rectangular bag, two long sides of which are located along generatrices of internal surface of a cylinder case; angles of the jacket are fastened by means of fasteners located on internal surface of the case. In an idle state the jacket is positioned in a zone of diametral plane of the cylinder case.
EFFECT: increased pressure tightness, reliability of installation of valve in pipeline, stability of valve operation under high pressure, most efficient throughput of pipeline at idle state of valve, simplified fabrication of valve of such design.
