FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: optic fibre is immersed into puddle and radiation absorbed with optic fibre in puddle is transmitted into detector; also, optic fibre is heated during immersion into puddle. Curve of optic fibre heating has at least one point P (t0, T0). Growth of ΔT1 of temperature T of optic fibre during period of time Δt in the first time interval t0-Δt to temperature T0 is less, than growth ΔT2 of optic fibre temperature during time interval Δt directly during the following second time interval t0+Δt. The device for realisation of this procedure consists of a coating enveloping fibre with several layers. Also, one layer includes a metal tube with an intermediate layer under the tube. The intermediate layer contains powder, fibrous or granulated material. Material of intermediate layer envelops fibre in form of multitude of parts.
EFFECT: improved measurement of parametres in puddle by means of optic fibres.
