FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method, mobile station and base station, which act in wireless communication network, is proposed, where RX diversity circuit is actuated only if current consumption determined with increase in output power of transmitter in order to achieve the target value of signal quality in the receiver would lead to higher current consumption than at actuation of RX diversity circuit in the receiver.

EFFECT: reduction of current consumption in base station or mobile station.
