FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Method is intended for making blades or needles, used in microsurgery and for research or analysis of biological material. In process of making blade or needle edge performed is cutout of crystalline material with location of cutting or punching edge in plane of cleavage. Crystalline material is used in form of film, cutout is made by controlled formation of one or several cracks in film. Sharp edge is formed on intersection of cleavage and film surface planes.
EFFECT: increase in sharpness of produced sharp edge to atomic level, obtaining atomically smooth punching-cutting surfaces, as well as large-scale production and extension of scale of blade and needle sizes are achieved.
