FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention corresponds to a structure of vehicle, in particular, motor car equipped with a noise reducing jacket mounted in under-bonnet space on drive of gas distributing mechanism (GDM) of internal combustion engine (ICE). The vehicle consists of ICE (1) installed in engine compartment and equipped with elements of drive of gas distributing mechanism (2-6) enveloped with at least one protecting noise isolating jacket (12) of double-layer structure with different mechanic-acoustic characteristics forming closed cavity restricted with case of jacket (12) and end zone (7) of front of the case of the ICE containing mounting holes for its attachment to end zone (7). Structure of material of a wall of jacket (12) made of porous fibre sound absorbing material consists of external and internal composed layers connected in an appropriate way and of specified ratios of parameter values of their thickness and density so, that the external layer is of thickness twice less, but as high, as twice more density relative to similar parameters of the internal layer.
EFFECT: more efficient wide band additional damping sound power of diffusive sound field generated in under-bonnet space with drives of GDM of ICE and other noise active sources of sound emission located in under-bonnet space of ICE.
