METHOD OF LASER HYPERTHERMIA THERAPY OF TUMOURS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61N5/67 B82B1/00

Abstract RU 2425701 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: laser hyperthermia therapy of tumours is ensured by the intravenous introduction of a solution of nanoparticles penetrating to the deep tissues and exhibiting plasmon resonance properties. The wave length of plasmon resonance of the nanoparticles and a related maximum extinction shall match with the wave length of probe radiation of optical coherence tomography (OCT). In 30 minutes after the introduction of the solution, the tumour nanoparticle storage is investigated by the OCT method. The OCT-signal intensity is measured every 30 minutes. After producing the OCT-signal of the maximum intensity, the tumour is exposed to laser hyperthermia.

EFFECT: method allows higher clinical effectiveness without involving the surrounding healthy tissues ensured by laser hyperthermia with the maximum nanoparticle storage in the tumour.
