FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in stand-alone power generation, in power plants with electrochemical generators, in the chemical industry. Methods for producing hydrogen include the interaction of spherical aluminum particles with water. At the same time, an aluminum-water suspension is prepared with a mass fraction of 0.01-10% aluminum particles and ultrasonic treatment of the suspension is carried out. Aluminum particles in an aluminum-water suspension are exposed to focused pulsed laser radiation with a wavelength of 450-1064 nm, a pulse duration of 0.005-0.999 microseconds, an energy density of 0.5-50 J/cm2, a pulse repetition frequency of 1-100 Hz with the formation of hydrogen gas. In another variant, focused pulsed laser radiation with a wavelength of 450-1064 nm, pulse duration of 1-150 microseconds, energy density of 0.5-50 J/cm2, pulse repetition rate of 1-100 Hz is applied. In the third variant, aluminum particles are exposed to focused continuous laser radiation with a wavelength of 350-1064 nm, with a power of 10-1000 Watts.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to simplify the process of obtaining hydrogen and the equipment used, to increase the rate of hydrogen production.
