FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an enzymatic method of producing 1-butanol using a bacterial cell. Said cell contains heterologous DNA molecules which code enzymes of the 1-butanol biosynthesis path: acetyl-CoA-acetyltransferase, 3-hydroxybutyryl-CoA-dehydrogenase, crotonase, butyryl-CoA-dehydrogenase, butyraldehyde dehydrogenase and, optionally, butanol dehydrogenase. Butanol is obtained via enzymatic growing of a recombinant bacterial cell in a medium with glucose or saccharose.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain 1-butanol in form of a single product using an environmentally safe and cheap method.
