METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING HYPERALGESIA Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61M5/00 A61K31/197 A61P29/00

Abstract RU 2430750 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, and can be used in treating hyperalgesia. What is used is a method of treating hyperalgesia by introduction of a pharmaceutical composition which contains an effective amount of a TRPA1 ion channel antagonist, while the TRPA1 antagonist specifically blocks TRPA1 activation and does not block activation of one or more other thermoTRP channels, such as TRPV1, TRPV2, TRPV3, TRPV4 and TRPM8. There is also offered application of the TRPA1 ion channel antagonist (Z)-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methylbut-3-ene-2-oxym or N,N'-bis-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-2,5-diamino-2,5-dimethylghexane for preparing a drug for treating thermal or mechanical hyperalgia. What is offered is a method of identifying an agent inhibiting or eliminating pathological mechanical sensitivity. That is ensured by contact of the analysed compounds and a cell which expresses a flying potential of a TRPA1 ion channel receptor. It involves detecting the TRPA1 ion channel antagonist which inhibits signal activity of activated TRPA1 in a cell in response to a mechanical stimulus and has an effect on activation or signal activity of one or more thermoTRP channels.

EFFECT: inventions provide an effective acute or chronic pain relief with a component of mechanical hyperalgesia ensured by selective inhibition of mechanical transduction mediated by the TRPA1 ion channel.
