FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of materials that feature magnetic sensitivity and may be used in ore dressing and metallurgy as well as at sewage disposal plants. Proposed method comprises pulp feed into top section of volute vertical-axis flute, feeding washwater along all edges of flute inner side for pulp to flow downward by gravity in the form of swirled different-depth flow along flute section, generating magnetic intensity in dressed product separation zone, concentration of high-density minerals nearby inner side and light minerals - nearby side, and dressed product discharge. Volute flute is vibrated in vertical plane while magnetic system to create magnetic intensity is arranged inside volute flute.
EFFECT: higher separation efficiency.
