FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of materials that feature magnetic sensitivity and may be used in ore dressing and metallurgy as well as at sewage disposal plants. Screw separator comprises supporting structure consisting of vertical axial foundation, pulp intake, screw chute, magnetic system to create magnetic intensity in separation zone with magnetic forces directed to extracted grains, device for separation and discharge of dressed products, flushing water distributor to distribute uniformly flushing water over entire perimetre of chute and control water amount. Said magnetic system is arranged inside screw chute.
EFFECT: higher separation efficiency.
