FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of materials with magnetic susceptibility and may be used in ore-dressing and metallurgical industries, as well as at treatment facilities for treatment of industrial and domestic sewage water and wastes. The screw separator comprises a bearing frame made of a vertical axial stand, a pulp collector, a magnetic system that generates magnetic intensity in a zone of dressing product separation with direction of magnetic forces to extracted grains, a helical groove, a device to separate and discharge dressing products. It comprises a distributor of wash water for even distribution of water along the perimetre of the groove and is equipped with a device to send vibratory oscillations to the helical groove, and the magnetic system for development of the magnetic intensity is arranged inside the helical groove.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of material separation.
