FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of materials with magnetic susceptibility and may be used in ore-dressing and metallurgical industries, as well as at treatment facilities for treatment of industrial and domestic sewage water and wastes. The screw separator comprises a bearing frame made of a vertical axial stand, a pulp collector, a helical groove, a magnetic system that generates magnetic intensity in a zone of dressing product separation with direction of magnetic forces to extracted grains, a device to separate and discharge dressing products, a distributor of wash water for even distribution of wash water along the perimeter of the groove and to adjust its amount. The helical groove is made with the possibility of rotation around its vertical axis and is equipped with a device to control and reverse rotation. The magnetic system for development of magnetic intensity is located inside the helical groove.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of material separation.
