FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: camera for capturing a 3D image with a depth map thereof, having a scene recording channel in the visible light range and a depth map recording channel operating in the infrared range upon illumination, CCD or CMOS matrices, a common lens, a dichroic channel beam splitter, and an iris diaphragm, a collective Fresnel lens and a modulator in the depth map recording channel, wherein the modulator is merged with the collective and the matrix, said module being made from electro-optic material in form of complementary thin engraved plates and can operate in polyharmonic modulation mode such that normalisation of the depth map in the depth map recording channel is performed by introducing time division of operating modes of the camera.
EFFECT: minimising the number of elements in the 3D camera in order to miniaturise the camera and simplifying the circuit of the photomodulator without reducing efficiency of using effective power of optical radiation.
