SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of automatic self-cleaning of a continuous dishwasher for facilities to be washed, which comprises the following: at least one washing zone (2, 3); at least one clean rinsing zone (4, 5) and a conveying device (7). The objects to be washed are conveyed by means of the conveying device (7) in direction of conveying (8). The continuous dishwasher comprises the following: at least one fine filter (16) with a device for its flushing at a rear side; at least one accumulating reservoir (13); and at least one device (18) to empty each of the accumulating reservoirs (13). The continuous dishwasher automatically performs a self-cleaning cycle, in process of which the flushing liquid (22), contained in each accumulating reservoir (13) is serially used for several times in various zones (2, 3, 4 and 5) for washing. The flushing liquid (22) is exposed to circulation with the help of circulating pumps (14) in the appropriate accumulating reservoirs (13), and it is supplied into spray systems (9, 10, 11), which are already available in the connected zones (2, 3, 4 or 5), or into separate nozzles or nozzle heads for soaking of inner surfaces that limit the appropriate zone (2, 3, 4 and 5).
