FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: detecting element for measuring mechanical stress consists of piezoelectric plates, an interdigital transducer for signals from a request sequence of signals of different types and reflecting structures. The reflecting structures consist of a group of reflectors in form of grooves or prongs lying on both sides of the interdigital transducer. The layouts of the reflecting structures and reflectors in each group are geometrically arranged such that, in case of mechanical stress in the piezoelectric plate upon arrival at the interdigital transducer of signals reflected from the group of reflectors, phase change for not less than one type of signal from the request sequence of signals, reflected from the group of reflectors having maximum reflection coefficient for the given signal, will differ by not less than 150 degrees and not more than 210 degrees, from the phase change for not less than one other type of signal from the request sequence of pulses arriving at the interdigital transducer, but reflected from other groups of reflectors, having maximum reflection coefficient for said other type of signal.
EFFECT: high sensitivity and accuracy of measuring mechanical stress.
