FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in instrument-making and machine building for temperature measurement. Sensitive element of surface acoustic waves (saw) for temperature measurement comprises two delay lines, each being formed by piezoelectric pad from lithium niobate, on whose surface there is at least one interdigital transducer and at least two reflecting structures consisting of sections in form of system of grooves or prongs with variable or permanent period. Delay lines are made on piezoelectric pads which have different sections with different temperature coefficients of delay. Reflecting structures of first delay line are identical to reflecting structures of second delay line, wherein reflecting structures are arranged so that beginning of reflecting structures on one delay line is displaced by length of one section relative to reflecting structures on second delay line, providing compliance of minimum values of pulse characteristic of one delay line in time domain maximum values of pulse characteristic of other delay line in time domain. Interdigital transducers can be connected in series or in parallel.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring temperature, as well as higher range of device.
