FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the course of the method implementation a sample is placed on a movable three-coordinate micropositioner platform; one determines a point for plasma formation on the sample surface, generates pulses with a femtosecond facility and focuses the laser radiation on the sample under study. Two beams of identical power are formed with the help of a beam divider while plasma is formed by way of focusing these beams, directed at variable angles, on the sample surface via a mirror-lens system with a time delay relative each other via an optical delay circuit; then one registers the sample emission spectrum. The plasma formation point location on the sample surface is determined either before or in the course of the sample spectral analysis.
EFFECT: possibility of in-depth analysis of the sample.
