FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: computer tomography system has a radiation-sensitive detector (100) which provides output signals (DI, Dh) which indicate radiation defined by at least first and second energy values or energy limits. A decay energy photon counter (26) further classifies the detected signals according to their corresponding energies. Correctors (24) correct the classified signals and an adder (30) combines signals according to a combinatorial function in order to generate output signals (El, Eh), which indicate detected radiation with at least first and second energy or energy limits.
EFFECT: high energy resolution.
