FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exposure of particulate matter to electric field, changing of insulation gas density by changing pressure, cleaning of insulation gas using trap. Before cleaning the gas from reserve tank is send through the trap into vessel operating into pressure, create operation pressure in it, rise the potential on central electrode relative to grounded vessel till the gas discharge, record disruptive potential at operating pressure and calculate disruptive potential at maximal gas pressure in the vessel. Gas cleaning is performed in two stages. On each stage gas is supplied to the vessel through the trap with maximal pressure in the vessel, raise potential on the central electrode relative to the grounded vessel to the potential limit. On subsequent stages the value is set that is lower than disruptive potential of gas with maximal absolute gas pressure in the vessel. With potential applied the gas is taken from the vessel to reserve tank till the first discharge in the gas and till the minimal absolute pressure in the vessel. The gas cleaning stops when the disruptive potential value corresponding to the upper potential limit matches the potential achieved on the previous stage of gas cleaning.
EFFECT: increased functional possibilities of cleaning method on condition of maintaining operating capacity of the device and increasing service life of the high-voltage device.
