FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of determining concentration of glucose in a liquid sample, where the liquid sample is brought into contact with glucose oxidase, and the amount hydrogen peroxide formed is determined amperometrically using electrodes across which different voltages are applied. The disclosed method comprises the following steps: applying activation voltage to reduce voltage and determine concentration of hydrogen peroxide; taking measurements at voltage which is suitable for determining concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the liquid sample and which was reduced via application of activation voltage; taking measurements for at least one voltage value which is suitable for determining concentration of a substance which acts as an interfering substance in the liquid sample when determining concentration of hydrogen peroxide; taking into account the effect of the interfering substance on the measurement result at voltage which is suitable for determining concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the liquid sample using the measurement result at voltage which is suitable for determining concentration of the interfering substance.

EFFECT: invention enables amperometric determination of concentration of glucose in a liquid sample with high accuracy through reduction or complete elimination of the effect of interfering substances on the determination results.
