FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves collecting a sample from a biological object under investigation, obtaining a peptide mixture ready for chromatography-mass spectrometry, carrying out chromatography-mass spectrometry, comparing the obtained chromatograms with a standard chromatogram and finding the most common subsequences as follows: constructing a matrix, the horizontal of which comprises the mass values of one of the chromatograms which are sorted according to elution time, the vertical comprises mass values of the second chromatogram which are sorted similarly, and the value of the function of accuracy of coincidence of mass is put at the row and column intersection to set the threshold of cut-off of peaks which do not coincide on mass; further, the matrix is bypassed starting from the right bottom corner, where shifting by a cell to the left, up or on the diagonal is allowed on each step, moving in the direction of the least change in values of the matrix elements; if all surrounding values are identical, a step is made on the diagonal, and if the values in the current cell into which the step was made are different, the corresponding mass values are added to the most common subsequence; if the extreme left or the top boundary of the matrix is reached, steps continue in the remaining allowable direction; at the end of the bypass, the obtained sequence must be written in reverse order, starting from the end.
