FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: regenerative soaking pit consists of chamber 1 in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped with moving cover plate 2, with lined walls 3, 4, 5, bottom 6 and units 7 of regenerators 8 and 9 adjacent to chamber 1 of pit on the side of rear 3 and front 5 walls. Bottom 6 is made in the form of lined platform on which lined discs 14 are installed with possibility of rotation about vertical axis through 90. At that, discs 14 are located in two rows with four discs installed in each row.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency and shortening the time required for ingot warming-up.
