FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for heating metal ingots prior to rolling. Regenerative heating well comprises chamber made in the form of rectangular parallelepiped limited by lined walls and moving cover, blocks of regenerators and burner. Regenerator units are located on the side of rear and front walls of the chamber and include air regenerators, gas regenerators and mixing chamber, which through the process opening is connected to the burner chamber, which are located in the upper part on one of the side walls. Chamber is additionally equipped with burners located on opposite side wall, each burner is located on common axis with located opposite burner and is configured to form a narrow short flame against each of the lateral facing faces of the ingots, wherein the well is equipped with means of monitoring power and temperature of the flames.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of ingot residence time in the furnace, higher efficiency, reduced fuel consumption due to uniform heating of ingots of metal in the well.
